The GFWC PLANT CITY JUNIOR WOMAN’S CLUB will be hosting our 2nd Annual 5K Reindeer Run on December 14, 2019. Our Reindeer Run is going to be an outstanding community event, encouraging family fun and fitness with holiday festivities. Proceeds from this 5k event will benefit The GFWC Plant City Junior’s Shoe Project, the primary fundraising campaign for our club, as well as additional community outreach projects.

The Shoe Project provides brand new shoes and socks to over 700 underprivileged students in our community. We partner with 15 local elementary schools every year. Our goal is to increase the impact we will make throughout our community.

The first 100 5K finishers will receive a custom Reindeer Run medal.

This Thanksgiving help those in need by participating in the 11th Annual Town of Palm Beach United Way Turkey Trot 5K and Kids “Gobble Wobble” Obstacle Course. Before you stuff your face, kick-off your holiday by joining family, friends and neighbors for a fun and entertaining run along Palm Beach’s scenic Lake Trail.

The event will feature an Instagram costume contest, raffle, goody bags and much more. Last year’s race proceeds provided Thanksgiving meals to more than 3,200 Palm Beach County residents. Help feed a family and join us this year as we celebrate our 11th anniversary race!

Be a part of the annual Bunny Trail 5K to support Boy Scout Troop 239 in Lake Geneva, WI.

The 5K course is an off-road/trail that winds around 240 acres of beautiful Wisconsin wooded property.

Additionally, we’re having a young kids “fun run”, which will be in a large field as well as an Easter Egg hunt.  Bring the family, enjoy nature and your community while supporting the local Boy Scout troop.

It’s sure to be a fantastic time.

Please register by March 30, 2019 to be guaranteed a race shirt. We’ll have some on hand on race day, but our shirt vendor requires this deadline.

More education, exposure, and research is needed to help reduce the mortality rate of this silent disease. To date, No screening test exists, so it is extremely difficult to diagnose.By the time a woman is  finally diagnosed with ovarian cancer,the deadliest of all gynecologic cancers, there is a very low chance for successful treatment and remission..

DOCF continues to support ovarian cancer research at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute through a two- year grant,  of

 $50,000 annually !

Introducing Stadium Blitz! The hottest, new point-based obstacle course race where you can compete against the clock or against other teams.

Our Stadium Blitz Tour Launch takes place the evening of Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Southern Methodist University’s Gerald J Ford Stadium! Ages seven and up are welcome to come test their athletic ability on up to three levels of obstacles: RACE, HUSTLE, BLITZ. Point values are determined by the level of difficulty and are collected when you successfully complete the obstacle.
