On September 14, 2019, at Ridley Creek State Park, in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, the Young Lawyers Section of the Delaware County Bar Association is proud to present the 9th annual “Run for the House” to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Philadelphia. The “Run for the House!” is a 5k Run/Walk created to provide much needed financial assistance to the Ronald McDonald House of Philadelphia and its core function, providing a home away from home for families of critically ill children receiving treatment at area hospitals. Over 90% of the funding for the Ronald McDonald House comes from individuals, so your participation in this event will go a long way in allowing the Ronald McDonald House of Philadelphia to continue providing this much needed support to families in their time of need. Please join us for a morning of fun, exercise, and support of a great cause. Cost: $30 pre-registered, $35 race day.
The 13th Annual Halloween in Emmaus 5K promises to be another unique event. Runners will dash before cheering crowds of up to 20,000 spectators (not a typo) along the already well-established Halloween Parade route. Many racers will be decked out in creative and bizarre costumes. This year’s race will again start just 45 minutes before the start of the Halloween Parade to ensure more spectators are in attendance. Cash prizes will be awarded to top runners and costume contest winners. COSTUME CONTESTS: Best Overall Costume (1st, 2nd and 3rd); Best Kids Costume (14 and Under) (1st, 2nd and 3rd); Best Family Costume – 1 prize; Best HAPPY Costume (Think positive) – 1 prize; Best EMMAUS Costume – 1 prize. Proceeds from this race will benefit the Emmaus Halloween Parade and the Emmaus Parks system. All Runners MUST park in the Emmaus High School Annex Parking Lot on North Street and Macungie Ave. Easiest access is off of Cedar Crest Blvd (car pooling is recommended.) All entrants must be able to run a 5K (3.1 Miles) in under 40 minutes. Any racer still on the course will be removed for the start of the Halloween Parade. Race number pick-up will be open on Friday from 11:00 to 7:00PM at The Emmaus Run Inn (322 Main St, Emmaus: 610-966-9939) and will continue on Saturday from 10AM until 3PM. If you are unable to make it to the shop during that time frame you can pick-up your race number starting at 5:00PM in the Emmaus High School Annex parking lot at the registration table on race day. Race number pick-up will close promptly at 6:40PM. Race start time is 7:00PM. Cost: 15 & over – $20 until 8/14, $25 until 9/30, $30 until 10/14, then $35 through race day; 14 & under – $12 until 9/8, $15 until 10/17, then $20 through race day.
Athletes Serving Athletes is a non profit based in the Baltimore community and dedicated to empowering athletes living with disabilities to cross the finish line in mainstream running and triathlon events. We cross the finish line in over 100 events a year in Maryland and then ASA RunFest is our very own signature event and largest fundraiser of the year. The ASA RunFest is in its 12th year “running” and is a celebration of what is possible. Over 70 ASA Athletes crossing the finish line in specialized running joggers. We expect 1,000 participants to cross the finish line this May! The Family Fun Festival will follow the race with music, kid zone, food and fun! The proceeds from the race will go to ASA’s WingMan Program.

The true purpose of this race, honors those who lost their lives and saving lives, providing crisis services, intervention, & counseling to prevent suicide.
Exercise anywhere you want. Then log activity and see yourself move on our map and leaderboards. Catch a Google street view of your virtual locale, then cheer your real fellow racers! Share your bib on social media! Brag about your streaks or longest runs!
We’ve got racers all over the globe! So to keep everyone on the same page, we’ve come up with some handy guidelines:
We rely on the honor system… you don’t have to use a device to prove your miles — a good map suffices.
Only exercising miles please! (NOTE: miles on a racer’s personal log are for all races they are in, across all sports)
Please attribute your activity to the appropriate day — don’t combine workouts from multiple days.
Please only backdate logs for a race up to two weeks in the past.
Activities submitted after the race ends will not count toward race leaderboards.
