Courses: A challenging, scenic 10-mile loop with plenty of hills through King of Prussia, beginning and ending at Heuser Park on Beidler Rd. Course is USATF certified (PA #08002WB). The 5K course is a rolling loop that also starts and finishes at Heuser Park. Marshals will be on the course. Water Stops: Water will be available at miles 2, 4, 6 and 8 of the 10 Miler and at 2 mile mark of the 5K. Water and other refreshments will be at the Start/Finish area at Heuser Park.

Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 Men and Women overall in both races as well as the first-place finisher in each of the following age groups (no duplication of awards): 18 & Under; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 & Over. There will be a competition for the top team in the 5K and 10 Miler. Simply pay the entry fee and fill out a registration form for each member, and remember to write the team name on the bottom of the form. There is no limit to the number of runners on a team; however, only the first three team members will score. Finishing places will be added together; lowest score wins. A plaque will also be awarded to the winning team.

Welcome to the 2nd annual A Mother’s Wish 5k Run/Walk! This event will help raise funds for A Mother’s Wish Foundation, a local non-profit organization formed by a group of mothers whose children and families have been impacted by Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) such as Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis. Our mission is to help families and fund research to find a cure for IBD. The course will start and finish at Heebner Park and includes paved and packed gravel trails. Awards for top overall and age group finishers. Amenities: Family friendly, t shirt (limited quantities available), refreshments, water stations, raffle baskets, prizes, and SPECIAL GUEST Preston Elliot from WMMR’s Preston & Steve show! Entry: $25 pre-registered, $40 race day.

Find Their Footing 5k returns for its 8th year in April, bringing together fun, fitness, and fundraising. Run or walk the 3.1 mile course through the heart of Montgomery County. Be a HERO for adoption! Join us in your favorite super hero costume, while enjoying music, refreshments, raffles, and multiple activities for the children. Best costume will win a prize! Awards will be given to the top finishers in each age group. All proceeds from the race benefit the Expecting and Birth Parent Support Fund.

Dazzle Dash & Family Fun Day is a fun-filled community event in support of primary education at Media-Providence Friends School. Friends and families gather to walk or run miles through Rose Tree Park, enjoy food, music, entertainment, prizes, silent auction items, games and activities for children of all ages all while promoting mindful living.

We have partnered with Bryn Mawr Racing Company, Healthy Kids Running Series, Brandywine YMCA, and Fair Trade Media to expand program awareness for all involved. This is a rain or shine event. Some activities outside of the run or walk that involve family fun day are weather permitting. As an independent school since 1876, MPFS has the freedom to develop and employ programming that reflects the latest research about how children best learn, and to infuse it with values that teach our students what it means to be a part of a global community. This independence has an economic aspect as well: we are entirely self-funded. Our ability to provide the best experience for students has been due, largely, to the philanthropic contributions of our community.
