TEAMS:

Competitive teams:  These teams are 4 people – no more/ no less.  When you create a competitive team you are guaranteed the 4 spots you need.  If your team doesn’t fill up you will just run as individuals. The team award ceremony will be held after the inital awards ceremony as these results take longer to finalize

Non-competitive teams:  We love our big non-competitive teams – thank you team leaders! These teams can be as large as you want but please pay close attention to the registration limits and choose a wave with enough spots for your team.  Also it is best to create your team and have everyone sign up within a short period of time to be sure you’ve all registered together.  If you have any complications feel free to e-mail .

SWAG AND AWARDS:

ALL RUNNERS (Nitty Gritty Included) will receive:

  • Medals
  • T-Shirt with Sweet Gretna Gritty Design (Register by 4-27-2019 to receive a T-Shirt)
  • Lunch (Burger, Hot Dog, Salad, Chips, Drink – Vegetarian options available)
  • Swag Bag with Promotional offers and sponsorship materials
  • Camaraderie
  • Bruises, Scrapes, and Mud!
  • Memories to last a lifetime

AWARD CEREMONY:

The award ceremony for the Competitive Event will begin promptly at 9:30 am. Awards will be given for:

  • Top 3 Male Overall
  • Top 3 Female Overall
  • Top 3 Teams (TEAM AWARDS MAY BE LATER THAN THE INDIVIDUAL CEREMONY)

Recognition will be given for the top finishers in each age category (12,19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+)

Results will also be posted online within 12 hours of the completion of the event.

 NITTY GRITTY:

In it’s 6th year – the Nitty Gritty is a 1.3 mile kids obstacle run for kids 5-11 years old.  Show up anytime between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm for 10+ obstacles filled with mud and fun! Odds are – your child will want to run it more than once! While your child is doing the NItty Gritty we ask if a guardian could stay at the start and finish area (right next to each other) in the event that your child has any needs while on the course. This is where they will return upon completion, or if they have any trouble on the course (lost a shoe, got tired, etc.).

*Parents may run alongside their kids – but they may not participate in the obstacles.

*Obstacles are supervised – trail is monitored.

*Multiple laps are allowed – but our staff reserve the right to ask a child to be done if they seem too tired, or overstimulated for their own safety.

PARKING AND LOGISTICS:

You will receive confirmation e-mails when you register with some of the details – but we won’t send out the final parking and logistical update until 1 week before the event.  Check back at www.gretnaglen.org/gritty for the most up to date info. Please make sure that the domain name “gretnaglen.org” is not registering as spam.

REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS

We have a no refund policy for this event. In extreme circumstances, we ask that participants message the race director at  .  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Transfers may be considered up to two weeks before the event, however there may be additional fees to this.  Please message    for further information.

With questions or concerns please contact

Be a part of this annual event to raise funds and awareness for Rebuilding Together Philadelphia (RTP). RTP provides free home repairs and renovations to homeowners, increasing their ability to stay in their home, for seniors to age in place and for disabled residents to have more mobility. Last year, RTP engaged 1,323 volunteers to complete over $2.1 million worth of repairs for 88 homeowners.

Our finish line is a safe and healthy home for every person. Help us repair homes, revitalize communities and rebuild lives by participating in the Run to Rebuild 5K/2 Mile Walk!

This is an official timed race, and the fastest runners in each age group will win an award. The walk is non-competitive. The trail is easy on the feet and easy to enjoy – ideal for seasoned runners and newbies, families and employee groups.

Plan to enjoy family-friendly activities.
