The Tunnel Hill Marathon is run in conjunction with the famous Tunnel Hill 100 mile and 50 mile runs. It was here were Camille Herron shattered the World Record by over an hour (12:42:40 for 100 miles), and  where Zach Bitter ran the fastest 100 miles (12:08:36) ever, off-road.

The course is considered a Road Course by the USATF and IAAF, yet is still considered a Trail (since it’s unpaved) by ITRA, and ATRA.

The marathon begins at the 24 hour mark of the 100 miler, and runners are allotted 6 hours to complete the fast, flat course. Athletes meet, encourage, and are encouraged by runners finishing their 100 mile runs.

A Boston Qualifier, the course is a very scenic Rails-to-Trails passing through gorgeous gorges via train trestles, and traversing through the famous tunnel twice.. Starting, and Finishing in Vienna City the course is Records Eligible, USATF Sanctioned. USATF and IAAF certified Course.

Get up to Gear Up!  Pink Heals, Lehigh Valley Chapter, is a local 100% volunteer non-profit organization providing support and comfort to area women and their families during times of illness.  Our pink fire truck, Sally, wears this color in honor of all women, not just those with breast cancer.

All proceeds raised by Pink Heals stays local to the area in which it is raised.  The volunteers of Pink Heals, Lehigh Valley Chapter, make appearances with Sally throughout the Lehigh Valley at all types of events, but most importantly, are our home visits.  During home visits, the organization visits women in the community struggling with an illness in order to make a positive difference by touching their lives.  Pink Heals focuses on women and what they mean to us in our daily lives.   You can learn more about Pink Heals, Lehigh Valley Chapter, by following us on Facebook, Pink Heals, Lehigh Valley Chapter or at www.pinkhealslv.org.

You MUST register by July 31, 2019  to be guaranteed a race day shirt.  We will try to accommodate anyone that registers after the deadline, but cannot guarantee the selected size is available.  Cost – $25.

Join the fight against Sex-Trafficking and Run To Rescue women and girls from slavery and brothels, and provide them with food, housing, education, medical care, and jobs by registering to run or walk 3.1 miles (5K) in the 2nd annual RUN TO RESCUE.  All net proceeds raised through the Run To Rescue 5K Run & Walk will go directly to Agape International Missions (AIM), a non-profit, Christian organization that fights sex-trafficking in Cambodia. 

All participants registered by Wednesday, June 5th, will receive the custom designed, Run to Rescue race-shirt.  All others will receive shirts on availability basis.

Awards are from North Wales Running Company and will be given to: Top male/female overall winners; Top male/female in each age group: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Cost: $30 pre-registered, $35 race day.

This course is not only Scenic but the Fastest and Flattest certified Peachtree Road Race qualifying course and a great place to earn your personal best. Participants will receive free goody bags and an awesome event t-shirt.

Your participation in this event supports Team Maggie For A Cure who’s mission is to bring awareness and financial assistance to young adults and teens who preserve their fertility after a cancer diagnosis. Harvesting eggs and banking sperm is extremely costly and not covered by insurance. Team Maggie is the only resource of its kind Nationwide providing this service. Let’s work together to support our young adults with cancer “Keep Their Dream of Family Alive”

You don’t have to be a “hard core” runner to come out and have a great time. Participants may walk the course and just enjoy the beautiful scenery 🙂 We also have a virtual runner option that will still hook you up with a great shirt that can be picked up at packet pick. Feel free to dress up and have FUN!
