Featuring views of Bellingham Bay, San Juan Islands, and North Cascades mountains, we are often called the most beautiful road race in the Pacific Northwest. Come experience Bellingham and “Run the Bay”!
Lace up your running shoes and kick-off your morning with a 3 mile run or 1 mile walk for a great cause. By participating in the Eighth Annual Kinney Walk/Run for Autism you are supporting individuals with autism, their families and students studying to work in the field.
Cost: 5k run and 1 mile walk – Adult: $25; Student – $10.
Join us for the Second Annual Monarch Dash 5K! This event will help raise funds for Friends of Heinz Refuge (FOHR) that will be used to help support environmental education activities and habitat restoration projects at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum, America’s First Urban Refuge!
Celebrate the magnificent monarch migration and get moving on your 5k journey! Runners and walkers are welcome to challenge themselves on the scenic loop course that will take participants along refuge trails following Darby Creek and Tinicum Marsh. Post-race activities include a celebration!

A central Vermont tradition continues this summer Aug. 16 and 17 with the 14th annual Last Mile Ride to support end-of-life care for patients and their families. Held at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, VT, the two-day, family-friendly event features a motorcycle ride, 5K run, and 1- and 2.5-mile walks to raise funds for palliative care and special services. 5K registrants (first 220) receive a complimentary, commemorative t-shirt (t-shirts available for only $10 to 1-Mile registrants!)
On-site DJ will spin tunes throughout the event.
Plus FREE refreshments for all! Fresh fruit + bottled water available for all participants PLUS local Chardon business — The i Scream Truck — will be on-site — providing complimentary treats (up to $2) to each event participant. Just show your bib & receive a refreshing ice-cream treat 🙂 Yum!
The event culminates with the presentation of:
1) plaques for the top three 5K finishers (6 total — 3 top males & 3 top females)
2) 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place medals PLUS cooling towels for ALL 5K age group winners
3) ribbons for all 1-Mile Finishers
Event concludes by 9:30AM & you’ll be on your way to continue celebrating the holiday!
