This is a 100% trail run. Running through the winding trails nature preserve. It is a double loop course. The trails are not technical which makes it a good first time trail half marathon course. It will be a fast race for more experienced trail runners. There are some climbs and single tracks. Themed aid stations every three miles, with hydration and snacks, post race party with local food and beer.

Radnor Memorial Library’s 6th Annual Elves for the Shelves 5K and fun run is a road race through the beautiful South Wayne Neighborhood. This family event, which takes place in conjunction with the WBA’s Old-Fashioned Christmas Santa Parade, has something fun for everyone, including a Fun Run with Santa, #Elfies, and more. Pre-race packet pickup will occur in the Radnor Memorial Library Winsor Room from 5PM to 7PM on Friday, December 6. You may also pick up your packet in the Winsor Room on race day starting at 7:00 AM. The 5k begins promptly at 8AM and the fun run will follow at 8:05AM. Cost: 5k – $20 through 10/6, $25 through 11/16, $30 until race day, $35 race day; Fun Run – $15.

Early Entry is $30 for adults 19 and over. The youth entry fee is only $20 for 18 and under. There is also an adult no shirt option, also for just $20. Day of race entry fee is $35 and does NOT INCLUDE a t shirt. Shirts are not guaranteed to any entry after Friday Nov 23, 2018
Race day registration is from 7am until 8am. Please arrive early to avoid long lines for pick up and registration.

This 8.4 mile fall classic follows Philadelphia s most beautiful recreational path around the Schuylkill River. Started in 1972 by Dave Brier of the Jewish Y, this race has been a local favorite “cult” race for 46 years. The course is run on the sidewalk and is self-contained the whole way and free of any traffic. The course passes many historic sites including the Rocky Statue and the Art Museum steps he made famous, the East Falls Bridge, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Strawberry Mansion Bridge, and Boat House Row. The course is almost entirely flat. Proceeds of the event will benefit the development and maintenance of Fairmount Park, specifically the Belmont Plateau Cross Country courses. Philadelphia Athletic Charities is committed to providing for the upkeep of the Belmont Plateau which is used by thousands of cross country runners. Cash awards will go to the overall male and female winners with gift cards for 2nd and 3rd place finishers. Age group awards will be awarded in ten year increments, starting at 19 and under and peaking at 70+. Overall male and female masters will also be awarded. $250 bonuses will be awarded to anyone who breaks the course record (40:08 male / 47:02 female). Custom t-shirts in both women’s and men’s sizes to the first 550 registrants. New for 2018 – each finisher will get receive an authentic finisher medal! After-party at the Bishop’s Collar – first round is on BMRC! Schedule: 8:30am – Registration begins; 10:00am – Race starts; 11:25am – Awards; 11:30am – Party at Bishop’s Collar.
