The Red, White and Zoom Triathlon Festival at Cowan Lake State Park on June 28 is host to the 2020 Mideast Regional Multisport Championship. That means that everyone who participates in the aquabike or aquathlon of any distance at the event is eligible for Mideast Regional Multisport Championship age group awards from USA Triathlon. You can be crowned the Mideast Regional Aquabike or Aquathlon Champ!

We also invite triathletes, duathletes and open water swimmers to join us in any of our 7 other events. Everyone receives a commemorative t-shirt in men’s and women’s cut, post race pizza and beer, and a cool finisher medal. Triathlon and duathlon participants, your finish place can qualify you for Age Group Nationals in each of those sports. Red, White and Zoom welcomes over 300 athletes each year, making it a great event to find fun competition as well as a good chance at earning your Age Group Nationals Qualification spot. All ages and abilities are welcome!

CELEBRATING TEN YEARS OF DASH FOR THE DOGS!!

Animal House Shelter is a non-profit, no-kill shelter in Huntley, IL. Dash for the Dogs allows us to raise funds necessary to cover the cost of our animals’ medical expenses and overall care.

Can’t make the event? You can register for our Virtual Dash for the Dogs and run anywhere at any time! We’ll ship you an official Dash for the Dogs t-shirt and race bag the week of June 1st!

Our race course is certified and timed. The top three female and male finishers in each age group receive medals. The top overall female and male finishers receive a special award. The first dog to cross the finish line will also receive a prize!

Dogs are welcome to participate in the run or walk as long as they are leashed at all times, current on rabies and distemper vaccines, and have excellent temperament with other dogs and children. The first 25 dogs to arrive with a registered person will receive a goodie bag! Strollers are welcome in the run and walk. Following the run and walk we will have food, medals, awards and other festivities for people to enjoy. We will also be acknowledging our top fundraisers!

Runners… take your marks & walkers… grab your friends! Join us for the Running with Friends 5K run/walk on the beautiful Sanctuary Golf Course on Saturday, April 18th. The route will have a water station and an electronically-timed finish line. If registered by Friday, March 20, participants are guaranteed a race shirt.

All net proceeds will benefit the New Lenox Friends of the Parks, a non-profit foundation that supports the mission of quality, community life of New Lenox resident.

Hops for Hope 5K is a twist on the traditional 5K! The event is timed and the course is certified, whether you are a runner or walker this event is for you. You can take a casual stroll with your friends and sip on beer samples throughout the course or you can run to get your best time and skip the beer stops (discounted price) or chug your beer and go.

The 5K will start at the beautiful Mount Saint Mary Park in St. Charles and head towards Geneva on the scenic path through Wheeler Park and end back at Mount Saint Mary Park for the Award Ceremony!

THAT’S A WEIRD TWIST?! We think you mean delicious and fun! Throughout the 5K there will be Refueling Stations (Beer Stops) featuring local craft breweries handing out 3-ounce beer samples to runners. Throughout the 5K you will sample 6 different craft beers. At the Awards Ceremony you will be able to receive 2 pints of your favorite craft beer you sampled throughout the 5K.

The Award Ceremony will feature a live band, more beer, local restaurants, vendors, awards (of course!) and our Adaptive Bike Giveaway.

All runners must be 21 years or older and show a valid ID day of the race. Per City and Park District Ordinance NO Strollers or babies are allowed. This will be strictly enforced. *Race is limited to 1,000 participants **No animals – unless they are service animals

The National Undy RunWalk is a family-friendly undy-themed RunWalk created by the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, with the goal to provide support for patients and families, caregivers, and survivors; to raise awareness of preventive measures, and inspire efforts to fund critical research. All fitness levels attend and dogs are welcomed!

Kissimmee Main Street is proud to celebrate Valentine’s Day with our Annual Kissimmee 5K. This event will promote heart health with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association.

Participants will enjoy a serene lakeshore run as the early morning fog rolls over Lake Tohopekaliga. They will take in some of Kissimmee’s beautiful historic homes and find great shopping and dining venues as they run through the historic downtown. Participants are certain to experience the best views of our charming and historic Downtown.

This event is for runners and walkers of all abilities. Strollers are welcome.

This race encourages you to dress in Valentine attire and includes three costume contests. The “Cutest Cupid” will be awarded the individual who most embodies the Valentine Icon, “Cupid”, the “Prettiest Pair” will be awarded the most unique running pair (2), and the Care Club award will be given to the largest group (church/organization/business) represented. Please join us in celebrating more than 12 years of fun, health, and giving.
