7th Annual GO2 Foundation Sacramento Walk/Run

This is a timed 5 kilometer (k) walk/run to raise funds and awareness to increase lung cancer survival.

The event takes place at William Land Park on Saturday, April 2, 2022, with a start time of 9:00 AM PST.

Each step you take is one step closer to doubling survival!

All are invited to the sixth annual Huskies Forever 5K! All speeds welcome from experienced runners to leisurely joggers and casual walkers. Open to alumni, students, family, and friends, this race is a timed, certified, closed-road race around campus. Click here to see this years course map!

There will be swag! Runners receive an official Huskies Forever 5K t-shirt! Race followed by a buffet breakfast and awards.

Activities will be available for kids during the 5K as well. No Kids K race participation required, families welcome to participate while you race! Click here to register.

Deadline to pre-register is October 21th at 11:59 p.m. Race day registration accepted. Must be age 9+ to participate in 5K.

The race covers an adventurous trail through beautiful conservation land, winding through forests, across fields, over streams, and past ponds and bogs.
We have music to motivate you before and during your race and to cool you down after. There will be plenty of refreshments and medals will be awarded for top finishers in several age brackets.

The 8th Annual Chick-fil-A Fall Stampede benefitting the Children’s Cancer Center is held every September in acknowledgment of Childhood cancer.

The event includes a 5K Run, 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk, a Mascot Race, photo opportunities with the Chick-fil-A cows, and a post-race party in the Family Fun Zone including Chick-fil-A food, games, and great prizes.

Chick-fil-A has been a sponsor and partner in this event from its inception in 2012. The Fall Stampede grew from 800 runners to over 1,500 runners and has raised almost $400,000 in net proceeds within the last 6 years.

Our race benefits the young girls of Cambridge. The Cambridge Girls Softball League, the Title IX Girls Running club are the primary recipients of the Funds from the race.
Both of these great organizations work on team building, athletic skills, and strengthen the connection among physical, mental and social well-being of girls.
Post-Race Block Party
After the race there will a block party and the Celebration of our 85th Anniversary! It will be held outside Paddy’s until 7PM! Walden Street will be closed off to traffic and there will be a large beer garden and the Irish Whisper Band!
