Join West Houston Assistance Ministries (WHAM) at the 2nd Annual Spring Dash 5K/1K to raise money to fight poverty and hunger in the West Houston area.

Due to COVID-19 and our desire to keep our participants safe, the 2020 Spring Dash has been turned into a virtual race. Registered runners will run a safe and appropriately socially-distantanced 5K route anywhere, anytime they like, between 12 a.m. on Friday, June 26 through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 28. Enter your final time via the Its Your Race Virtual Race App and be eligible to win a top finisher award! Finish times are on the honor system… please be sure to run a full 5K route. Everyone who registers will receive a finisher medal!

For more fun and excitement, snap a photo before, during, or after your run and tag WHAM on social media using #WHAMSpringDash and @WHAMMinistries and you will be entered to win an Amazon or Target gift card.

Run a 5K route at your leisure anytime from 12 a.m. on Friday, June 26 through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 28. Results will be calculated on Monday, June 29 and top finishers will be notified via email.

Presented by the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce with thanks to Presenting Sponsor UCLA Health and in partnership with Village Runner: Join us for the 5th annual Torrance Armed Forces Day 5K for Freedom touring around beautiful Torrance, California on Saturday, May 16th at 8:00am! All finishing participants will receive a 5K for Freedom commemorative t-shirt. There will be computerized bib timing,  free food and beverage giveaways, and exhibitor booths. This event also gives you the unique opportunity for the community to run alongside troops from all six branches of the military.

The Race for Brain Injury Awareness offers everyone the opportunity to have fun and to support Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital’s Brain Injury Program and the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania. This event offers a scenic, timed 5K course for runners of all ages and skill levels, as well as an option for a one-mile walk or wheelchair roll. Want to help? You can participate in many ways: Register and run, walk or roll; Start a fundraising team; Join a fundraising team; Sponsor a participant or team; Become a corporate sponsor for the event.

Proceeds from the Race for Brain Injury Awareness will help fund: The Brain Injury Program at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital; New technology and therapy equipment for rehab patients; Monthly support groups for patients and families of Bryn Mawr Rehab; The Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania and their mission to maximize quality of life for those with brain injuries and their families.

Celebrating our Veterans and Memorial Day!  A portion of the proceeds benefits will benefit a wounded veterans organization and a Darien High School or Grade School with the most registered participants! *(over 30 Registered)
