Christmas Classic Fun Run

Join Nampa Parks and Recreation as we kick off a new holiday event for the entire family. The Christmas Classic Fun Run will be held at Centennial Golf Course.   Participants will choose between a 5k or 10K distance.  Due to Covid-19 races will be ran in heats and there will be no post-race activities this year.  Awards will be announced on social media following the event.

Join the St Johns County Public Library System for a winter warm up 5K or 1 Mile run/walk along the peaceful Nocatee hike & bike trails. The race starts and finishes at Nocatee Station Field near Splash Park
NOTE:There is always the possibility that the race will have to be converted to a virtual event due to COVID considerations. If that happens, everyone will automatically be converted to that entry type. All entrants will still receive their race gear. We will be unable to offer refunds in this situation.

Join us for the 3rd Annual Canaan Valley Half Marathon, 10k & 5k April 24-25, 2021, in Tucker County, West Virginia in the heart of the Potomac Highlands. This road race takes place in one of the East Coast’s most idyllic settings and is just a short drive to any outdoor activity you could want. The area is also home to two amazing and eclectic mountains full of arts and culture. So if you are looking for a new Half Marathon, 10k to run and need a mountain vacation or just a getaway for the day or weekend we certainly are the race for you!

To ensure everyone stays safe and healthy, this year’s Delco Turkey Trot will be VIRTUAL.  Virtual races are a great way to be active with our family and work towards a goal together. 

You can run on your OWN time between 11/20/2020 to 11/29/2020.  Goal-continue the tradition of running or walking on Thanksgiving morning even in 2020!!  Benefits the Nether Providence Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization which supports our students, teachers, and staff.  NEW THIS YEAR-   Little Drumstick 1 Mile Fun Run; Kid size T-shirts; and the use of Racejoy APP.  You can run our course.  For a course map please visit the website.  Racejoy APP- is a GPS-based tracking app that follows your progress in real-time as you run your race. Receive progress alerts for yourself and others as you cross milestones along normal Turkey Trot course.  Typically, alerts are sent at EVERY MILE, including location, pace, elapsed time and estimated finish time.  Your family and friends can send motivational, pre-recorded audio cheer clips or personalized Text-to-Cheer messages to race participants leading up to, during, and after the race. Your results will be automatically submitted to the race.  Invite your friends in other states too!  Mailing options are available this year.  T-shirts with a new pandemic inspired logo.  Deadline to get a T-shirt is October 25th.  Race Swag- Two Options:  1) Pick up Bryn Mawr Running Co. 1 W. Front Street Media PA   2) Shipping.  Cost: 5k – $25; Little Drumstick Fun Run – $15. 

The 2020 Loop Race will be VIRTUAL!  We know that 2020 was not ideal for running races.  However, Bryn Mawr Racing/Running Co has been able to recreate the Loop Race experience with our advanced virtual race features.  You can run the actual course between 11/6/20 to 12/6/20 and get tracked with the Racejoy App.  The Racejoy app is provided with your registration fee.  The app will allow you be tracked during your ‘race’ along with virtual cheers, mile marks, music and directions.  Once finished, your results will automatically be submitted onto our results pages.  Don’t want to run with your phone?  You can always run the course and submit your times through your runsignup account or by email or text.  Your second option is to run the Loop Race ANYWHERE between 11/6/20 to 12/6/20.  You can use either the Racejoy app or just your run with your watch to submit results.  All registrants will receive an authentic race buff and finisher medal which will be shipped out the week of 12/7/20.  This 8.4 mile fall classic follows Philadelphia’s most beautiful recreational path around the Schuylkill River. Started in 1972 by Dave Brier of the Jewish Y, this race has been a local favorite “cult” race for 48 years.  The course is run on the sidewalk and is self-contained the whole way and free of any traffic.  The course passes many historic sites including the Rocky Statue and the Art Museum steps he made famous, the East Falls Bridge, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Strawberry Mansion Bridge, and Boat House Row. The course is almost entirely flat.  Proceeds of the event will benefit the development and maintenance of Fairmount Park, specifically the Belmont Plateau Cross Country courses.  Philadelphia Athletic Charities is committed to providing for the upkeep of the Belmont Plateau which is used by thousands of cross country runners.  Please note, there are no refunds.  Cost: $40 until 11/6, then $45 until 12/6. 

Radnor Memorial Library’s Elves for the Shelves 3 Week Virtual Move-A-Thon invites library supporters of all ages (furry friends too!) to run, walk, or bike to show their support for the library. 

During this unprecedented time, we are proud to offer sponsors and other supporters a virtual event that compares to previous years and offers not 1 day, but 3 weeks of fun!  How to Participate:  You can participate anywhere!  Run, walk, bike, or even walk your dog!  You can get moving in your neighborhood, on the Radnor Trail, on a treadmill, or on Peloton!  Whether you want to go the distance, or run a 5k, this event has something for you! 

Distance Challenge:  Go the distance around Radnor Township! Log at least 16.03 miles to be eligible for prizes.  Be sure to record your mileage on the Results page!  5K Run:  Runners, show us your stuff!  You have the option to participate by using the free RaceJoy app on your phone.  Or, simply time yourself and manually enter your 5k time on the Results page.  Prizes:  Prizes will be awarded for both participation and performance!  Record your runs, walks, or rides online to be entered for prizes!  Participate with RaceJoy to compete!  Or, post a selfie on social media and tag @radnorlibrary to be entered in a raffle!  Post a picture while doing a ride on Peloton, a run on the Radnor Trail, or a walk through your neighborhood!  Swag:  All registrants are eligible for a race t-shirt!  T-shirt pick up will be at the library.  You will receive an email when t-shirts are available for pick up.  Children ages 12 and under who complete a 5k or the Distance Challenge will also receive a special certificate.  Donations:  DONATIONS are welcome!  With your $300 donation you will be recognized as a “Family Sponsor.”  Family Sponsors will be recognized on event signage and on our website.  Family Sponsors who donate by November 9 will also be recognized on event t-shirts.  Or, with your $100 donation you will be recognized as an “Elf of Encouragement.”  Elves of Encouragement will also be recognized on signage and the website.  Important notes:  Participants have three weeks, starting November 14th and ending December 5th to participate.
