The Abominable QUADZILLA Winter Race Series is a 3-event points series. All races will be held on Saturdays at high noon through the winter. The dates are: January 12 ; February 9; and the finale on March 9th.

The Abominable QUADZILLA Winter Race Series will start/finish at Dew Point Brewing Company. This 3 race point series pitting human potential against the elements of possible bitter cold, snow, wind, ice, freezing rain and an all-terrain 5k course comprised of 4 quad-searing & lung burning hill repeats is not for the feeble.

Register for the whole series and get the hoodie all your weak ass friends will be jealous of, or register per event if you have some excuse as to why you can’t do all three events that are held at noon on Saturday’s in the winter. Day of registrations will be available up until 15-minutes before race start times (11:45AM) for $30 (includes a post race beer and hot cocoa; not an awesome hoodie). Hoodies can be purchased additionally for $25 for non-series registrants, but only after you successfully complete one event.

Awards: This is a 3 race point series. Points accumulate over those 3 races based on placing. Winner gets 10 points and goes back 1 pt from there (10,9,8,7,6…..1). Points will be separated for males/females. Top 3 point leaders (per gender) at the last race March 9 will get prizes (TBD but will be awesome!).

Race Amenaties: Each registered runner will get a beer from Dew Point Brewing Co. and self serve hot cocoa until the thermos is empty. There will be a food truck (additional charge), have a pizza delivered (at your expense), or bring some gnosh from home; Dew Point is BYOF. There may or may not be an aid station at the bottom of the hill (water freezes in the winter ya know).

The 13th Annual Fight for Air Climb Philadelphia is returning to the city on March 30, 2019 and the American Lung Association is challenging the community to fight for healthy air and lungs! . . . . . . . . .
Standing 739 Feet, Three Logan Square is one of Philadelphia’s landmark skyscrapers. The 57-story red granite tower is located in the heart of Philadelphia’s Central Business District and boasts a significant skyline presence. Fight for Air Climb participants will race up 50 of the 57 floors, over 1,088 steps and will feel how it is to live with lung disease. Century Climbers are even bold enough to take on the stair climb twice! . . . . . . . . . .
We know a lot about lung disease, but there is so much we don’t know. Your participation will raise lifesaving funds to provide education, research and advocacy to our community. Participants are required to pay a registration fee and raise a minimum of $100. Can’t climb, but want to enjoy the day with us? Register as a virtual climber and we’ll waive your registration fee and you’ll still get a t-shirt! . . . . . . . .
Join us on the morning of Saturday, March 30th at Three Logan Square for the Climb for your life! After the climb, friends, family, participants and sponsors are invited to the City Tap House for awards and celebration. Participants will receive complimentary food and drink specials.

The 11th Annual Lakeview 5K is scheduled to take place on June 1, 2019 in Roosevelt Park, Edison, NJ. The Lakeview 5K is a Grand Prix sanctioned course along scenic park roads starting and finishing in front of Roosevelt Lake.

The event also features a 5K Walk and a Family Fun Walk which is self-paced around the lake.

Teams are welcome to support the Lakeview 5K – encourage your friends, family and colleagues to fundraise and participate with you. You can set up your team page at www.crowdrise.com/2019Lakeview 5K. Teams are prominently acknowledged on race day…run with a friend, walk with a buddy and make a difference in the life of a child.

Participants receive a commemorative t-shirt (guaranteed with pre-registration by May 22nd), finish line reception and refreshments. More than a dozen vendors participate in pre-race festivities as well.

All proceeds from the Lakeview 5K directly benefit the array of programs of the New Jersey Institute for Disabilities which provides comprehensive services to more than 1,500 infants, children and adults throughout New Jersey.
