Welcome to the 3rd annual Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust 5K Trail Run/Walk! This event will help raise funds to support PERT’s efforts to protect the 828 acres of open space the Pennypack Preserve encompasses. The funds will help to sustain the wildlife habitat, native plant communities, and spectacular views that are becoming increasingly rare in southeastern Pennsylvania. PERT is partnering with the Bryn Mawr Racing Company to provide a great way to celebrate Earth Day! Enjoy your experience in the Pennypack Preserve! Founded in 1970, the mission of the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust is to steward the Pennypack Preserve natural area as an important component of the region’s natural areas network, and to educate and encourage people to appreciate, enjoy, and protect the preserve’s native ecosystems. Your membership to Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust is included your race entry fee. With your membership you’ll receive many direct benefits: a subscription to the Trust’s newsletter, Natural Landscapes; “Coming Events” and birdseed sale flyers throughout the year; discounts on gift shop and birdseed purchases; free or discounted admission to weekend family programs and events; plus, members at levels of $100 and above are invited to special receptions at the Trust each year.

Amenities: Course - A scenic, rolling hills course on grass and gravel that is great for both beginners and “seasoned” trail blazers. The course begins and ends at the headquarters. Since this is a run on nature’s trails, the course will be as close to 5K as we can get it! Also – a t-shirt, refreshments, prizes, and music after the race.

Cost: Member (must enter membership #) - $25 until 4/17; $35 race day. Non-member (registration includes 1 year membership!) - $40 until 4/17; $50 race day. Children under 10 are free.
