The South Bay 10k & 5k showcases beautiful Chula Vista with a scenic flat and fast course that is ideal for walkers and great for PR-seekers. Set within the Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, these trail runs offer a unique running experience. Dogwood Canyon is a natural paradise with over 10,000 acres, providing a fantastic variety of trails for our 50K/25K/15K trail runs. Located close to Lampe, Missouri, the trails take runners through both Missouri and Arkansas. This is truly a perfect trail race with rocks, hills, mud, streams and more. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and clothing as the race takes place rain or shine and the temperatures can range from the 20’s to the 70’s.

Each trail run is unique, but all runs share some of the same territory. The 15K has two aid stations while the 25K and 50K have 3 to 5 aid stations. The courses are hilly and somewhat rocky, providing our runners with a physically challenging and satisfying experience. Parts of our Dogwood Canyon Trail Run courses are only open for our trail runs, making the participants of this world-class event amongst the special few who are granted access to these majestic and hidden areas of the canyon. After their first trail run with us, most participants make our Bass Pro Shops Fitness Series Dogwood Canyon Trail Runs an annual event. We love our runners!

Join us for our Island Grove Wine Company 4th Annual Sangria 5K Dash and Fall Festival on Saturday,  Nov 16th, 2019.  The Sangria 5K Dash will benefit the Heart of Florida Youth Ranch. The Ranch is a home for children who have nowhere to go and have suffered loss of parenting due to abandonment, abuse, neglect or death.  The majority of their needs are provided by donations.  Please help us help the kids!

The Sangria 5K Dash and Fall Festival will be at our winery and at our beautiful on-property authentic cracker house.  The yard of the house is shaded by many hundred year old oaks where we will have music, vendors and food along with winery tours and wine tastings!

The race will start promptly at 8 am and begin and end at our historic 1897 cracker house, taking you through our beautiful Florida property and blueberry plantation.  With your registration, you will receive a Sangria 5K Dash Dry Zone shirt, a celebratory glass of sangria for those 21 and over (Gatorade for those younger) and an outrageous Custom Sangria 5K Dash medal (see below)!

The race will have a chip start and finish.  Awards provided for the top 3 male AND top 3 female participants in EACH of the following age groups:

Course Description:

Off road trail run through our blueberry farm and wooded areas surrounding the farm. The paths are mostly packed, with a portion of the run on softer dirt roads leading to the wooded areas. Portions of the race are in full sun and some are shaded.

This is the woods – there are bugs and dirt. Please plan accordingly and bring bug spray and sunscreen, it will not be provided.

Pushing a stroller will be an extra workout and difficult, please be prepared.

Service animals only.

Registration for this event will close on Wednesday, October 16 at 11:59 PM.  We will reopen limited entry late registration at a slightly higher fee than regular registration costs during packet pick-up, allowing for in person, paper registrations as long as we have spots available. We will not be offering onsite registration the day of the event.

Entry fee into this year’s Zombie Run also provides entry into the Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park’s “Fall Festival”!  Kids may run in their chosen distance and then partake in the corn maze, hayrides, bounce houses and more that day!  All registered participants for the Zombie Run will be given a specially designed race shirt and medal to commemorate the event!  Participating in the Zombie Run will be a great healthy way to spend a fall day outside in the Ozarks!

If parents, guardians, friends or family members wish to be on the course, they must be a registered participant. Due to liability reasons, anyone on the course including children in strollers must be a registered runner/walker in the Rock4Kids events. The Bass Pro Shops Fitness Series has a NO REFUND policy. Refunds will not be given for any reason.

Can you rock The Rock? Come join us for this 6 mile run at Top of the Rock in Ridgedale, MO where you will challenge your endurance and mental grit while experiencing exhilarating, scenic views you won’t find anywhere else. This course is one of the most challenging, rewarding runs you will ever complete. Best for experienced runners, this course was not designed to be someone’s first 6 mile run. While most of this course is asphalt, be prepared to run over several different surfaces including but not limited to gravel, road, trail, wet rock, metal bridge(s), water and dirt. While this course is hilly and challenging, participants will experience waterfalls, a cave, scenic overlooks and absolutely beautiful surroundings.

Spectators will have limited viewing options along the course. The best spots to cheer for your runners will be at the start and finish lines.

Experience a 5K Run or 5K Walk at the beautiful, exclusive private grounds at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake (also known as Mundelein Seminary).

Who We Support

The 5K is organized by the Knights of Columbus Libertyville Council 3674.  The majority of proceeds go towards home repairs made by St. Joseph youth group’s July Appalachia mission trip.  Some proceeds also go to local charities helped by the Knights.
