– Get hit in head with cement              – Bad drivers from New York

– Crawl under barbed wire                            who don’t speak English

Plus super pissed off hunters angry that the hashers trespassed on their land and scared away the deer,    [Possible nudity]

The DPR trail is a wide, crushed gravel course run along the Des Plaines River about 35 miles north of Chicago. This is a great course through alternating lush forests and open wetlands. The Marathon is a Boston Qualifier.

The Stillwater Boom Site Log Run 10 mile, 12K and 5K is a superb, mostly downhill race with a gentle decent ending in Boom Site Park just north of downtown Stillwater. It’s been known as one of the fastest 10-mile courses around. Participants come back year-after-year for this one and it’s easy to see why; it’s THE course for personal records. The St. Croix Crossing Half Marathon starts in western Wisconsin and takes runners across the spectacular river crossing between Wisconsin and Minnesota. The St. Croix Crossing bridge, which opened in 2017, is the crown of this race. Running through scenic, tree-lined roads and past picturesque farms, the course takes in the vistas of the river and the valley as runners cross the Federally protected St. Croix River on their way to a fitting finish at the historic Stillwater Lift Bridge in downtown Stillwater.
