The Highland Brewing Night Flight is everyone’s favorite twilight race and back for its seventh year and, it’s better than ever. The 4.5-mile East Asheville course will take runners through the Asheville Golf Course, through the Beverly Hills neighborhood (where you will be showered with cheers from the residents) and past the WNC Nature Center before finishing back at Highland Brewing Company. This year’s post-race party and awards ceremony will be at the Meadow. Glow swag will be provided, dressing up is always encouraged, and there will be beer waiting for you at the finish line! 100% of race proceeds go to the development of greenways in Asheville and Buncombe County.

The Scream! Half Marathon is one of the most unique half marathons in the country. Starting in Jonas Ridge, North Carolina, the course drops over 2,400 vertical feet through the lush forests of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the finish line in the ghost town of Mortimer, North Carolina.

The 26th running of this very popular event. It is the second stop on the USATF Mid-Atlantic Offroad GP. Runners will face a flat half-mile sprint from behind the Tyler barn to the first set of hills, and then volunteer marshals and path markings will guide them around the arboretum and back to the finish line. The 10-kilometer course (6.2 miles) is known to be both fast and challenging for the fittest trail runner and a fun experience for novices, due to its combination of wide paths, frequent elevation changes and shallow creek crossings.

The Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain is proud to present the fourth Downhill at Dusk 5K. Runners will run a course from Ridgecrest to Black Mountain that drops over 200 feet in elevation. This is one of most unique and fastest races of the year. Earlier that day, the Downhill at Dawn Half Marathon will take runners from Ridgecrest to Old Fort on a combination of paved and gravel roads.

The Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain is the start line for this mostly downhill half marathon that takes runners on a scenic combination of paved and forested gravel roads from Ridgecrest to Old Fort. Starting at 7:01 AM, runners escape the heat of late May and the crowds of city races. Capped at only 600 runners, this race has sold out the past six years and become one of the more popular half marathons in the region. Later that day, the Downhill at Dusk 5K will take runners on a fast course from Ridgecrest to Black Mountain.
