Lisa's Army is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comfort to courageous individuals currently undergoing cancer treatments.  After being diagnosed at age 20, amidst her own battle with ovarian cancer, Lisa Loonstyn-Golden launched a crusade in the name of fighters everywhere.  She believed that no one should fight alone, so, with the help of her family and friends, Lisa's Army was formed.  It is an organization dedicated to comforting men, women, and children with cancer.

The goal of Lisa's Army is to make a difference in the world just like Lisa was able to accomplish in her short time with us. Now, we continue to fight in her name, and invite you to join our army!  In Lisa's memory, Lisa's Army holds the Lisa's Army 5K Run & Walk every October to raise funds for our signature Comfort Care Packages.  The race brings together families and friends to enjoy the Fall weather in Philadelphia's beautiful parks.  We have a children's arts and crafts tent, fundraising competitions, fantastic music, and a photo booth.  This year's race will take place at Memorial Hall/Please Touch Museum on October 12, 2019.  

The beautiful course starts in front of the Please Touch Museum and winds through Fairmount Park's Horticultural Center, past the Japanese Tea House, and ends in front of the Please Touch Museum.  Along the route you will see the beautiful colors of ribbons, representing ALL cancers.

The race begins at 8:00 AM.  This is a rain or shine event.  Online race registration will close on October 9, 2019.  You can register on race day beginning at 7:00 AM. 

Cost: Adult - $35; 17 & U - $20.
