09/28/20 7:00 am Sunday The 43rd running of the Clarence DeMar Marathon. Honoring the 7 time winner of the Boston Marathon and 1924 Paris Olympic Bronze medal winner in the town where he lived, worked and raised his family. The event includes a half marathon and all proceeds go to support the presenting sponsor, Keene Elm City Rotary Club. Come enjoy one of the most scenic courses you'll experience which is also a Boston Marathon qualifier. Point to point course from Main St in Gilsum NH and finishes on the campus of Keene State College where Clarence lived and was a professor (then Keene Normal School).

More Info: The event also includes the "Kids DeMar" and the "Super Senior" DeMar programs where elementary age students and seniors 70 and older are running the last 1.2 miles of the course to complete their own marathon and are waiting for our runners at the finish line to cheer them on. Amenities include shirts to all registered runners who check in on race weekend, finisher medals, post race smorgasbord to choose from, free massages and post race showers available. We promote an environmentally safe event by providing all finishers with their own water bottle which can be refilled at the finish instead of using disposable bottles of water. Take it home with you and remember us fondly every time you use it.
