Keeping roads clean is an appropriate community service project for runners, since we see trash alot more up close
and personal than motorists do. Volunteering to remove litter was an easy decision for our group.
Naturally, on the morning of the clean-up, many of us gathered at 8am on Main Street, Newark for our weekly run.
After 8 or 10 or 12 miles, we were sufficiently warmed up to carry out our duties.
