CALLING ALL SUPERHEROES! Get ready to walk, run & FLY at the 8th Annual Omaha Superhero Heart Run on Sunday, September 20, 2020! This 5k/2k event will raise funds and awareness for Congenital Heart Defects (CHD), the most common birth defect in the world.  Registration includes superhero cape, finisher’s medal, run bag & much more!

Kick-off your Labor Day celebrations with us for our 3rd Annual Slate Belt Sprint 5K! This is a family event, as well as an event for competitive runners. Our challenging but achievable course is great for beginners or experienced runners alike. Schedule – 7:00am Day of Registration Opens; 8:15am 5k Run/walk begins; 9:15am Kids Fun Run begins. Awards – First Place Overall Male & Female; First Place Walker Male & Female; Top 3 Male & Female by Age Group: 11 & under, 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & up. Register by August 10, 2019 to save! Registration is only $25 and includes a race t-shirt. Children ages 11 and under can register for only $10 with a participating adult and will receive the same awesome t-shirt. T-shirts only guaranteed for those who register before 8/10/19. Those registering after this date may be able to receive a shirt on race day while supplies last. Cost after 8/10 increases to $30.

A point to point run starting at the Telluride Regional Airport 2100 Airport Road, Telluride CO

Runners will start at the parking lot at the Telluride Airport. Head up the paved road of 1/4 mile. Turn left on Last Dollar Road, CR 638 and follow the road for a mile.

On the right will be a parking area and the Deep Creek connecting trail, FS 418.1b. Once on the trail follow it till it connects with the Sheep Creek Trail, FS 418. Stay right on the Deep Creek Trail. Climb steeply for a few miles till the trail levels out. Here will be the 1st aid station.

Continue following the trail for several more miles till it connects with the Mill Creek Trail, CR 637. Turn left and the second aid station is located here.

Cross the bridge and follow the trail for 2 miles. This trail is known locally as The Waterline Trail. The Waterline trail ends at the Jud Wiebe Trail, FS432. Turn left onto the Jud Wiebe. Follow the trail up and over to Liberty Bell Trail, FS 431. Turn right and climb slightly before heading down. The trail ends at Tomboy Road, CR 869.

Make a right on Tomboy Road and follow for apprx. 1/4 mile downhill to the intersection of paved road Oak Street. Make a left onto Oak Street and follow downhill for 3 blocks to the finish line.

The Finish Line will be in the park that’s located between the San Miguel County Courthouse and The Sheridan Opera House. Oak Street dead ends into this park.

In its tenth year, boasting a mostly shaded, flat course with scenic views, this community 10k 5K + Kids 1K Run/Walk event features a Kid’s Zone with entertainment for all ages, vendors, food and much more. This race is USATF Sanctioned and Chip-Timed.

Net proceeds from the event will be used to fund ovarian cancer research and to support local organizations, such as Cancer CAREpoint and Bay Area Cancer Connections, that provide support services to women with ovarian cancer and their families.
