Early entry fees for both races are $25 until midnight Sept 16, 2020
Shirts are GUARANTEED to early entries but not late or race day entries.
Late entry fees for both races are $30 until Friday Sept 25, 2020 at 9 am when online registration closes
Race day entry fees are $35 for both races and MAY NOT include include a shirt or your preferred size.

We are BLUE LIVES MATTER – FLORIDA, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, created to help Law Enforcement Officers and their families during their time of need. We are also working to help lower the rate of suicide within Law Enforcement by providing education on the awareness and prevention of suicide to Law Enforcement agencies.

Ready, set, go!  Registration is now open for the inaugural Virtual Meltdown 5K and Virtual 1 Mile Family Fun Run & Walk taking place July 15 to July 31.

In an effort to ensure health and safety for our community during the COVID-19 pandemic, these popular centerpieces of LakewoodAlive’s Lakewood Summer Meltdown sponsored by Melt Bar and Grilled will be orchestrated as virtual races this year, offering participants the opportunity to continue this long-held Lakewood summer tradition.

The Virtual Meltdown 5K serves as a fundraiser for LakewoodAlive.  Lace up your running shoes and complete the race at your convenience anytime between July 15 and July 31.  Participants can opt to conquer the actual Meltdown 5K course, or complete the race in another fashion of your choosing, such as by running through your neighborhood or using a treadmill.

In addition to supporting LakewoodAlive, your participation in the Virtual Meltdown 5K comes with the following perks:

• A special edition Virtual Meltdown 5K commemorative t-shirt
• Prizes for top finishers in each age category
• A voucher for a “buy one, get one free” beer token offer redeemable at the Beer Garden during the 2021 Lakewood Summer Meltdown (age 21+)

In order to control the spread of COVID-19, the CDC is recommending postponing events and gatherings with crowds of 50 or more. As a result, we have adopted strategies that allow participants to fully experience the 10K Race, 5K Run & Walk VIRTUALLY.

This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the American Heart Association’s — Healthy for Good 10K Race, 5K Run and Walk, so starting on May 14th we will be launching 30 days of content culminating in a world-wide effort to celebrate our impact on June 13th. Activities will include a virtual leaderboard, suggested routes to run your own 10K or 5K, training tips, more opportunities for you to engage with our mission digitally, and healthy living resources to look after yourself and your loved ones while social distancing.
