In 2016, we had a crazy idea. A 5k with flavor. Those flavors…BEER. We wanted everyone to experience cool beer spots in and around Atlantic City, and cap it off with an incredible time at The Atlantic City Beer & Music Festival. Below you’ll find info on the 5th Annual Hops Trot 5k Run, presented by DelMo Sports & Good Time Tricycle!

Enjoy 3.1 miles full of smiles! Participants can get sprayed with non-toxic colored powder as they run/walk this family fun course. Please wear white or purchase an event t-shirt to make the most colorful splash! Your support makes the dream of homeownership a reality for hard-working families in Somerset and Hunterdon counties.

The iFiveK race is a favorite run and networking event for Charleston’s tech professionals. Since its 2007 debut with 250 participants, the iFiveK grew to 1,047 registrants in 2018. Proceeds from the iFiveK support the Charleston Digital Corridor’s talent strategy.

Beginning on January 9, 1972, the extensive history of the Jersey Shore Half Marathon places it as one of the oldest and most prestigious distance events in New Jersey. Whether preparing for a full marathon or enjoying the gift of fitness, runners are sure to cruise on this flat, fast course through some of the most iconic areas of the Jersey Shore. Additionally, the Jersey Shore Half Marathon offers official pacers, mile split times, race clocks every 2 miles, water stations, and complimentary race t-shirts and medals. One participants cross the finish line, they can head right on over to the post-race party to celebrate!

We are a 5k race and 2-mile fun run located in Roseland.

Over our first nine years we have donated $326,000 to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. We chose this organization based on its sole focus on research AND because every dollar donated goes toward that research. Funded by the three founding families who were unhappy with the progress of research to slow, stop or reverse the disease, they started their own organization. Their mission is finding a cure; they hold no interest in patents or ownership of that cure. All who receive grants from them must share all information discovered.

“Running 4 Answers, a race against Alzheimer’s” came to be because my mom had Alzheimer’s. Unable to find a race benefitting the research of the disease, I started one with my friend, Barbara Geiger. Together we have worked to host an event with three goals: 1) increase awareness of and money for Alzheimer’s disease 2) manage a great race and 3) create a fun community event.

Race Day

Race Location: East Parking Lot of 445 Central Avenue Highland Park IL 60035
Race Time: Downtown Highland Park 5K Run/Walk- 8:15 a.m.

Race Registration: 7:15am-8:00am Cash $40 for Adults and $20 Students or Checks payable to Carpe Diem Races only.

Race Parking: Free Train Station Lots at St. John and Central ( 1 block from Start) and Street Parking.

Awards: Top 1st and 2nd in Age Groups. They will be rolling due to weather. We will start to hand them out after 8:45 am

Cupid’s Candy Aid Station

Make sure to stop along the course to grab some Valentine’s Candy! We’ll have 1 station on the course! Enjoying Sweets on a run makes it all the more fun!

We have Partnered up again with Highland Park High School to Help the Cal’s Angels. We are asking all participants to bring on Race Day New Legos and Gift Cards….. Other Charities are coming out to volunteer, some are fundraising, and some are using our race as a Social run….

Event Warning: We have the right to change, alter course, cancel due to extreme weather and change the time of the event. The City of Highland Park also has the Right to Cancel the Race due to unsafe weather conditions.

It’s going to be a cold race and there might be icy conditions. So, please dress appropriately. If you are dressing up in a costume, please make sure you have proper winter running clothes on under the costume.
We have partial road closures; therefore, participants will be sharing the roads with Cars. Please be aware of your surroundings, stay to the Right. No dogs allowed and if you are running with a baby jogger, you must start at the back and sign a special waiver.

Refund Policy
There are NO refunds for this event. The event will take place rain, snow, or shine and refunds will not be issued based on weather conditions.
