16th running. Mostly single-track dirt trail with beautiful views of Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. 11 mile loop. 4 distances to choose from.
Marathon, Half, 5k, Kids Duck Dash. . . . . . . . With a new course that features Downtown Eugene but captures most of the historic Eugene Marathon route, runners will still capture the gorgeous views of the Willamette River, run through South Eugene’s beautiful neighborhood and enter through the East Tunnel of Autzen Stadium and #FinishOnTheFifty. A “you can not miss this” type of race, both runners and walkers are encouraged to come and experience the magic of Track Town USA in this destination running event.
The Eugene Marathon and Half Marathon are the perfect running destination for a first-time racer or seasoned veteran. No matter what race you choose, you’ll break the finish line tape in front of cheering fans like iconic athletes and coaches such as Steve Prefontaine, Bill Bowerman and Ashton Eaton.

This is a Spring time event with flat, fast and beautiful courses going past blooming lilac gardens, farm land, Columbia River, Lewis River, Tulip fields then the finish line.
The Salem Half Marathon is in its fifth year as a race in the City of Salem whose mission is to encourage people to get outside and get physically active. This race will start and finish on Main Street, take runners through the City of Salem neighborhoods, Roanoke College, and the Greenway. This year’s race is October 10th, 2020.
The Salem Half Marathon is a unique event for the Salem area, providing an economic impact for Salem and the surrounding areas. As with many races, there is a diversity in participation that creates a number of branding opportunities. Sponsoring this growing race is a perfect way for your company to become part of the positive economic impact and potential of this long-term event.
The City of Salem, known as “Virginia’s Championship City”, has hosted numerous NCAA National Championships as well as many other national and international sports tournaments. In 2016, we decided to branch out and bring that “Championship” mentality to running! Our races start and finish at the Salem Farmers Market in downtown Salem, VA and takes you on a scenic tour of Salem through neighborhoods, Roanoke College, and the Roanoke River Greenway.
We have partnered with Blue Ridge Racing, the area’s leading road race management organization to produce these events. In addition to managing the LewisGale Salem Half Marathon, Virginia’s Blue Ridge 8K, and the G&H Contracting Kids Run, Blue Ridge Racing handles the race management for the Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon, also known as “America’s Toughest Road Marathon”.
As an added bonus to running our Salem Half Marathon, you will have the opportunity to win the Virginia’s Blue Ridge Triple Crown race medal if you also complete the Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Full or Half Marathon (in April) and the Star City Half Marathon (in November) within the same year. This exciting race series rewards runners in the valley with some serious race medal bling and bragging rights!
Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon, Half Marathon, Star 10 K, Double Marathon & Relay. . . . . . . . . . . . The full, half and 10k all prove equally challenging yet rewarding on this mountainous course, and all runners are rewarded with a unique finishers’ medals, a tech-tee, live music and local craft beer at the festival-like finish in downtown Roanoke.
The Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon Series has earned its title as “America’s Toughest Road Marathon” by challenging runners with over 7,430 ft. in elevation change, more than any other road marathon in the U.S. This race runs along the famously scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, and proceeds from this non-profit event benefit the parkway and local charities.
