5k thru marathons for runners
Join SRLA students, alumni, and leaders as we kick off summer together! Enjoy an easy, flat 5K course around the Griffith Park Golf Course. Walkers are encouraged.
The 18-Mile Friendship Run is the premier training race for the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon.
The 18-mile course consists of two 9-mile loops starting in the Hansen Dam Recreation Area. The course travels along streets that are closed to traffic and, then, crosses the two-mile dam. After the second loop, the run finishes in the park. Water stations and toilets will be available throughout the course, except on the dam. Water stations will be located before the dam and after exiting the dam.

Journeys Marathon, voted one of the Top 5 “Best Kept Marathon Secrets” by Runner’s World magazine, takes place in Wisconsin’s beautiful northwoods. With a variety of routes to choose from, the event offers something for competitive runners to people who enjoy natural scenery. Journeys Marathon and half marathon are USATF certified courses and the full marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. (Runs are open to runners and walkers.)
Journeys Marathon offers an inspirational, unique and breathtaking course, which starts with a woodland backdrop near Boulder Junction, Wisconsin on rustic roads. It meanders through the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest and past many picturesque northern Wisconsin lakes along the way to the finish line in Riverview Park in Eagle River, Wisconsin.
Before the run, the festivities officially start with race registration/packet pick-up at the Northland Pines High School on Friday, May 10 from 5 to 9 p.m. Race day starts at 8 a.m. with the full marathon, 10K and 5K. The half marathon and power walk begin at 9:15 a.m. An entertainment and awards ceremony will follow at 2 p.m.
Feeling Wicked? This theme-filled marathon and half-marathon tours the historic Military Road Trail in Wamego, Kansas, and ends in front of the famous Oz Museum. Characters from the Wizard of Oz greet you as you finish. USA Track and Field certified course. The half-marathon is limited to 400 participants, the marathon to 150 participants, and the 5k to 300. This is a rain, snow, sun, flying monkey event. There will be no refunds for this race. Please plan accordingly.
