Our out-and-back course starts at the backdrop of the Sunnahae Mountain at Craig High School and heads north along the Klawock Channel, through the village of Klawock, turning left at the Native clan house, and proceeding along Boundary Road, which turns into Big Salt Lake Highway, and affords views of some of our most majestic lakes, clear streams, and muskeg areas. The middle, more mountainous portion of the full marathon course presents challenges, but equally inspires participants with Southeast Alaska’s natural beauty. The out-and-back half marathon course follows the full marathon course but does not venture into this more mountainous portion. Wildlife sightings are not uncommon on race day. Aid stations on the course will close at 4:00 p.m. on race day. The Prince of Wales Island Marathon is the standard marathon distance of 26.2 miles and is USATF certified, #AK14007FW. Race times may be used as time qualifiers for the Boston Marathon.

The Montana Marathon has been a well-recognized, community event in the Billings, MT area for the past 30 years and provides a Boston qualifying race course for running enthusiasts. The marathon attracts participants from over 30 states and offers a half marathon, 10k and a One Mile Kids’ Run

In the 13th Annual 5K Race for Humanity, we are raising money for Camp Can Do, a summer camp for children recently diagnosed with cancer. The 5K is held in the scenic Woodlands by our campus and a short post-race ceremony for winners will be held afterwards with refreshments. Pre-registration ends March 8th, may register as late as the day of the race for an increased fee.

The Swan Lake Races raise money for the summer camping program at Swan Lake Christian Camp. All races are about 1/3 pavement and 2/3 gravel. The marathon is a Boston qualifier.

On Saturday, May 18th enjoy a beautiful run through Westport Vineyards in Westport, MA. Grab some friends and enjoy a trail run along gorgeous farms and finishing amongst the vines. After the race, there will be dinner, wine and music in the vineyard. Race participants will receive a souvenir wine glass as a memento of their experience.

The course is approximately 3 miles along varying trails. Race begins at 4pm with bib pick up starting at 2pm, all at Westport Vineyards. Please plan on arriving at least one hour before the race start to get checked in and settled for an on time start.

General Race Entry includes parking, race entry, professional race timing, t-shirt, wine glass and wine, dinner and music.
